Baptism is the sacrament whereby a person is initiated into the faith, and welcomed into the family of the Church, in the company of all faithful believers.  In addition, when children are baptised, their parents make a promise to rear their them in the faith and in turn, renew their own commitment to Jesus.

We run a preparation course for the parents and godparents of children who will be baptised.  For more information contact the church office at 021 712 6132 or stcyprians@telkomsa.net.

Sunday School allows children to learn more about the faith in a way that is customised for their age and developmental stage.  We offer classes for Grades R to 7, with various curricula teaching children about the Bible. We also have a joint worship with all of the children.

Sunday School takes place during the 09h45 service during the school terms.  For more information, contact the church office at 021 712 6132 or stcyprians@telkomsa.net.

For children aged six and older, we offer a course where they learn to take Holy Communion at our services.  The course runs once a year and is administered by the Sunday School teachers.  For more information about when the course will take place, contact the church office at 021 712 6132 or stcyprians@telkomsa.net.

Confirmation is the reaffirmation of the faith by those who have been baptised in order to confirm the promises made by their parents and godparents on their baptism day.  They make a commitment at the Confirmation service in front of the Bishop and the congregation.

At St. Cyprian’s, we offer a three-year confirmation course for teenagers as well as a one-year course for adults.  For more information, contact the church office at 021 712 6132 or stcyprians@telkomsa.net.

Holy Matrimony is the blessing of a union acknowledging the presence and grace of God within the couple’s relationship.  We offer marriage preparation classes at St. Cyprian’s.  For more information, or to discuss your wedding with the priest, contact the church office at 021 712 6132 or stcyprians@telkomsa.net.

We conduct funeral services of both parishioners and non-parishioners.  To discuss the terms around holding a funeral at our parish, please contact the church office at 021 712 6132 or stcyprians@telkomsa.net.
